What to Expect
How does the first appointment work?
Your first appointment will be about 50-minutes long, and we will discuss your background, where you are now, your goals, and where you want to be. This allows me to create a customized coaching plan that fits your needs.
What is life coaching?
Life coaching is a partnership between your coach and you. My role is to help you see where you want to go in life and to help you develop the tools you need to get there. Together, we will create a clear path, build a plan, and I will provide you with the support you need to reach your potential.
How is this different than therapy?
Therapy usually focuses on processing and healing from past events, whereas life coaching focuses on the future and how to get there. I don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions; instead, I help you define the future you want and help you reach that future.
Is life coaching only for people who are struggling?
No! Life coaching can be useful for anyone. If you are doing well, but feel that you could accomplish more, I encourage you to consider life coaching.
How often do I need to attend appointments?
I encourage all new clients to commit to six weekly sessions, though some people like to attend life coaching sessions for a longer duration of time.
Does Insurance cover appointments?
Unfortunately, most health insurance companies will not cover life coaching; however, employee-sponsored wellness benefits can!
